I only caught the BBC’s excellent [series on Ancient Rome->http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcone/listings/programme.shtml?day=thursday&service_id=4223&filename=20061019/20061019_2100_4223_14322_60] last week, although I meant to watch earlier episodes. Last week’s excellent episode was about Josephus, Titus and the Fall of the Temple in Jerusalem and it bought the full magnitude of this disaster to life. In my new book The Big Story, there’s a section on the fall of the Temple. Although it’s only alluded to in the NT, I thought it was important to include it because it’s such a key event.
Tonight’s is about Constantine – the first Christian emperor. Highly recommended. And the [BBC’s Ancient Rome website->http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/ancient/romans/] is fantastic as well.
And there are some pics of the Arch of Tiberius in my [Rome Gallery->http://www.nickpage.co.uk/Galleries/Rome/]
