Christmas in America

  • by

I know, I know… I haven’t kept up with my postings. Sorry about that. Anyway, before I settle down to read A Christmas Carol, watch It’s A Wonderful Life and overdose on satsumas, here’s a couple of seasonal tales to warm the cockles of your wossname. The telegraph has an article about the sheer scale of the Christmas lights in America, which contains the great quote “I’m an American, I love my country. But, no, we’re not always masters of subtlety and restrained good taste.” Meanwhile the Times has an article about Iraqi Christians virtually cancelling Christmas because of persecution. Two extremes. Happy Christmas everybody.
