heard you on premier radio this morning. I thought what you said was really good. I took the details they gave out, and I will be back to see your site & look at the books you have written.
I was thinking yesterday, I would like to know more of the history etc of the Bible, for my own interest and also to be able to give intelligent, interesting and knowledable answers for other people. Its a good tool for evanglism, where some people are looking for the truth, and history supports this.
I bought a copy of ‘The Bible Book’ recently, and am studying acts at the moment, the first thing i noticed was that you say that acts was written before Lukes Gospel, but i have been told that Luke wrote his gospel first and acts was a follow-on from it, i also know many others that believe this, i was just wondering where you have found the evidence for Acts being written first? other than this, good book, well set out.
Hi Nick, I am a part-time freelance writer and newly published author. I’ve recently, by chance, picked up your wonderfully funny book ‘In Search of the World’s Worst Writers’ and I was going to pick your brains for some additional information for a second book idea of mine anyway. But it’s wonderful to find out from your website that, like me, you are a Christian and was at Telford this year. I ghost-wrote Gram Seed’s book ‘One Step Beyond’ (CWR) and was at Telford in March for the book signing. It was a fantastic experience and it would have been lovely to meet you!
Anyway, I’m currently working on a proposal for a book on all things duck related. I particularly liked your duck inclusions about the stinking ducks and the paddle steamer (sorry, book is still upstairs and can’t be more professionally precise than this, but I’m sure you know the bits I mean)
I was wondering if you have ever come across any other gems of a duckish nature that I could include. If not, and you do, I’d appreciate it if you would let me know, so I can dig in that direction. Credit given to you of course, in the finished product.
On another note, are you in touch with any other Christian writers? If so, do you find it helpful? Writing can be such a solitary pursuit sometimes. I’m presuming it’s encouraging to make contact with others in a similar position. But I could be wrong!
